OLIVE TREE THEATRE

We were looking for a space accessible to Alex to create a theatre for our 2013 Women's Theatre Festival. At the time, Alex didn't have a permanent theatre, which meant stages had to be erected and dismantled. Ntshieng was steadfast with her dream of having a theatre in Alex. We were lucky to find Jonathan Gimpel and Emdin Brothers and their Yarona Mall with its beautiful arresting spaces. They have encouraged and mentored our dream and we now have a lease on this space to create our theatre. Double click on each photo below for information on each stage of our process.
